Our Story

A store with a purpose — not just inventory.

Warm retail interior at Cochran's RCs 2 with thoughtfully arranged merchandise

Cochran's RCs 2 sits on one of Okemos' most recognizable corridors — West Grand River Avenue — and has been a quiet force in the community ever since. We opened our doors with a simple conviction: people deserve access to well-made, thoughtfully sourced goods without the pretense of big-box retail.

That hasn't changed. Every item on our floor is selected the way a knowledgeable friend would — with an eye for durability, design, and value. We know our regulars by name. We remember what they're looking for. And we'd rather turn away a sale than sell you something you'll regret.

Curated Selection Every product earns its shelf space.

Local & Known Neighbors serving neighbors.

Honest Pricing Fair from day one, no games.

Real Relationships You're a person, not a transaction.

What We Offer

Everything you need,
nothing you don't.

Our inventory rotates with intention — we bring in what works, what lasts, and what our customers actually ask for.

Quality Goods

From everyday essentials to special finds, every product in our store meets a standard we'd hold up to our own families. No shortcuts.

Personal Service

Walk in and you'll be greeted — not scanned. We take the time to understand what you're looking for and point you in the right direction.

Fair Pricing

Competitive prices without the gimmicks. No fake markdowns, no pressure tactics — just honest value you can count on every visit.

Curated Inventory

We don't stock everything — we stock the right things. Our selection is tight, intentional, and constantly refreshed based on what matters to you.

Community Focus

We're part of Okemos, not just located here. We support local events, know our customers, and treat this store like it's everyone's — because it is.

Why Cochran's

The kind of store
that doesn't come around often.

Big retailers have algorithms. We have memory. We remember your name, your usual, and the last thing you said you were looking for. That's not marketing — that's just how we do business.
